
Junfa Mao, male, Han nationality, born in August 1965, Shaoyang, Hunan, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, joined the CPC in September 1998, joined the work in July 1988. He is currently the president of Shenzhen University, the director of the National Key Laboratory of RF Heterogeneous Heterostructure Integration, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Academician Junfa Mao received his B.S. degree in Radiation Physics from the Department of Applied Physics, National University of Defense Technology, China from September 1981 to July 1985, and his M.S. degree in Experimental Nuclear Physics from the Shanghai Institute of Atomic Nuclear Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China from September 1985 to July 1988, and his Ph.D. degree in Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technology from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China from September 1989 to July 1992. From November 2010 to February 2013, he served as Executive Vice Dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From February 2013 to June 2018, he served as Dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since June 2018, he has been serving as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and as a Vice President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Since December 16, 2021 Serves as President of Shenzhen University.
Academician Junfa Mao is mainly engaged in the research of high-speed circuit interconnection and RF electronic packaging, and serves as the head of the innovation group of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the chief scientist of 973 in the related fields. He has won the second prize of National Natural Science, the second prize of National Technological Invention, the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress, the second prize of Ho Leung Ho Lee Award for Scientific and Technological Innovation, and the second prize of National Teaching Achievement. He has been honored as Changjiang Scholar, Shanghai Top Ten Scientific and Technological Elites, National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker, and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a Fellow of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), Chairman of the Microwave Division, and a Fellow of the IEEE.
