The opening ceremony of the symposium was presided over by Professor He Yejun, the executive chairman of this year's conference, and Academician Mao Junfa, the general chairman of the conference and the president of Shenzhen University, delivered a welcome speech. President Mao first welcomed all the academicians and speakers warmly on behalf of the university and introduced the development overview of Shenzhen University and the purpose, influence and effect of the Symposium on RF and Antenna Technology. The symposium was conducted by online/offline presentation, offline listening and interaction.
The General Chairman of the Conference, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and President of Shenzhen University, Mao Junfa, delivered a welcome speech.
Professor He Yejun of Shenzhen University, Executive Chairman of the Conference, presided over the opening ceremony.
Eight top renowned experts (IEEE Fellows or Academicians) from domestically and aboard were invited to give presentations in turn, focusing on new technologies, advances and challenges in the field of RF and antennas. Professor Chen Zhining (IEEE Fellow), a member of the Singapore Academy of Engineering and the National University of Singapore, gave a presentation entitled "Towards Metantennas +Deep Learning", and Professor David Jackson (IEEE Fellow), University of Houston, gave a presentation entitled "Recent Investigations in Leaky Grids". Recent Investigations in Leaky-wave Antennas" by Prof. David Jackson (IEEE Fellow), University of Houston, USA, "Huygens' Metasurfaces for Antennas" by Prof. George V. Eleftheriades, University of Toronto, Canada. ' Metasurfaces for Antenna Beamsteering and Beamforming", Prof. Andrea Massa (IEEE Fellow), University of Trento, Italy, on "Modularity as a Key-Pillar".
